This Army day in India was not just about celebrations and awards but also spotlighted startups that help forces become better. 5 companies from all over India were shortlisted to showcase their uniqueness to Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sh Narendra Modi, Hon’ble President and Chief of the Army Staff, General Bipin Rawat and 900+ diplomats and government officials from different countries. Clensta, a startup from World Startup Factory Impact Accelerator #3 was amongst the few selected companies to exhibit.
Clensta with its research partnership with IIT- Delhi has pledged to save water and maintain hygiene, as they surprisingly deliver both of the things hand-in-hand. The company supports the government in their programs, including “Swacch Bharat, Swastha Bharat”. The product is also indigenously manufactured under the “Make in India” program.
The products not only solves defense sector hygiene issues but also works for bedridden patients and drought-hit areas. The products are easy to use: for instance, the Shampoo (which is currently in the limelight) you just have to massage into the skin or scalp directly, it leaves no residue after you wipe it with a clean towel or tissue. The company is gaining recognition all over the world by being amongst the selected startups in World Startup Factory Impact Accelerator. They’re currently exploring opportunities in the EU market with headstart funding which included partnership alliance with NATO, UN, MOD, European Space Agency and many more. Nexus, American Center of the US Embassy has also awarded them with the infrastructural alliance in the US Embassy and recognized them among top 4 startups in India. This opens up opportunities for Clensta in Central Asia and America. The fact that the selection process was 6-months long, based on Innovation, Utility, the Possibility of Induction and Use of Products at a larger level shows the recognition of Clensta’s unique added value.
These companies are going to be beneficial for the defense sector. Dr Puneet Gupta, Founder & CEO of the company represented World Startup Factory and IIT Delhi and was appreciated by the top leadership of India including the Chief of the Army Staff, General Bipin Rawat.
